August 7, 2019 BOARD MEETING NOTES
MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: 1833 by Bill Harwell.

MEMBERS PRESENT:
Bill Harwell, Paul Van Dyck, Bill Knepper, John Ellingson, Jim Pace and Kevin Rasku.

July MINUTES:
Approved as corrected.

FINANCIAL REPORT:
Bank Balance: $8,078.86

SWAPMEET:
Bill Harwell and James Van Ornum received feedback from occupants of a car leaving the swapmeet that an amateur radio information table would have been useful.

SUNSHINE NEED:
Marvin Hanely, N6XML, has been moved to Providence Mother Joseph Care Center in Olympia..

MIDNIGHT RIDER:
Steve Tomlin is looking for volunteers to help with the annual Midnight Rider to be held on August 17.

August 7, 2019 PROGRAM NOTES
The August 7, 2019 General Meeting was called to order by Bill Harwell at 7:32 PM with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag followed by people introducing themselves with their name, call sign, home town, and favorite County Fair food. The attendance signin sheets were passed around. A request was made for someone to work with Rob Majoros for meeting refreshments.

The August calendar, which is available at http://cvars.org/, was presented. Salmon Run 2019, September 21 and 22, was highlighted.

John Ellingson summarized this year's Ham Radio Tailgate Swap Meet.

Bill summarized his RAMROD (Ride Around Mount Rainier in One Day) experience, being a member of the data team.

Jim Pace, K7CEX, gave an interesting talk on "The Magic of Ham Radio" which highlighted his experiences in amateur radio.

The meeting adjourned at 9:20 PM. There were 28 people registering their attendance on the attendance sheet.
